Indulgent Little Things...

This morning I found myself in need of a little inspiration...boy did I find some. First I had to set the mood - enter: The Black Eyed Peas. I had Elephunk playing all day. I know, I know, Monkey Business is out - but I'm poor. Once "Where Is The Love" came along, I was reminded of their performance in Philly during Live 8, singing "Get Up Stand Up" with the Marleys. So I clicked over to AOL's on demand performances. If you missed the Live 8 concerts you can pick from all the performers and see entire sets. Favorites? Madonna singing "Like A Prayer" with a young woman who was a starving child when the first ever Live Aid concert in 1985. My absolute favorite was Robbie Williams singing "Angels" which he did before Jessica Simpson. And he's cuter. With an English accent. I need to get over to England. After that I noticed on AOL they had the exclusive trailer for Proof. Little secret - I've always wanted to act in a play. Ever since I was G-d in 3rd grade. If I could act in any play I would want the part of Catherine in Proof. I read this play a long time ago, years ago and it is one of - if not my favorite play of all time. The movie looks just as good with Gwyneth, Sir Anthony and Jake Gyllenhaal who is also very, very handsome. So movies get me pumped. After that, I dug around for more trailers and found PLENTY! Reese Witherspoon has a new movie coming out in September called Just Like Heaven. It looks cute. Speaking of cute - several of my friends are on a Ryan Reynolds kick after The Amityville Horror. Well it looks like from this trailer - anyone who's ever worked in food service will like Waiting. More, more, more - (did I work at all today?) - That little Dakota Fanning girl isn't on my nerves yet - she's got a new movie called Dreamer. I'd rather go see her in a horse movie than with Tom "I'm on Acid" Cruise. Since I began watching Steven Spielberg's 'Into The West', I've become fascinated with learning more about the history of America. And, well...Pocahontas is my favorite Disney movie. I can't help it, I liked the talking tree. So I was excited to see a new movie out about the relationship between John Smith and Pocahontas called The New World starring Colin Farrell, who looks a lot better in this movie than in Alexander. Not to mention Christopher Plummer (you know he was hot in the Sound of Music) and Christian Bale (from the new Batman). It should be really good and it looks like they've done at least some homework. Pocahontas does look to be the age she was when she met Smith - 12. The trailer looks beautiful. Finally...this one had me wondering if I would need a change of pants should I see it in theaters... The Exorcism of Emily Rose - actually looks good. I would see it before seeing the original Exorcist. So the question is - who will I get to see it with me!?!?!? Back to work, back to work...
