Annoying Bit of Irony

I'm not in a good mood today. I swear I'm not. In fact, I kinda just wish that the sky would darken and a thunderstorm would move in and - after having dinner with the fam - I could just curl up on the couch and read until I fall asleep. In fact - on top of that I wish that I didn't have to work tomorrow so I could sleep all of Wednesday. Making my rotten mood even worse - I just sat here and wrote something completely upbeat. That's kind of annoying. Especially when you haven't really tried your hand at writing anything lately and then what pops out of your mind? Happiness. What a bunch of hooey. Here. Enjoy. 'The View From Here' - J. Sieff I get up in the mornin’…the coffee’s already on I open up my closet, figure out what to put on… Over there on the bed, you’ve got an hour left to sleep And you’ve never looked so peaceful, even after fighting with the sheets When I step out on the porch, I’m surrounded by the sun Another day of things to do until…another day is done But if you could stand where I am standin’ And see the view from here You’d see everything I thought was lost Is now so crystal clear You’re the man that I’ve always dreamed of And I’m really not sure why…but The view from here gets better… When I’m looking in your eyes… I make sure to call my mother, when I’m on my way home Just so I can say I love her, and not feel so alone I remind her that I’m everything I am because of her Thank her for her strength and say I miss her too much for words But if she could stand where I am standing And see the view from here She’d see all my uncertainties Are now so crystal clear I never thought I’d make it on my own And now I don’t know why Yeah the view from here gets better… With my mom by my side… My little brother’s all grown now And off he’s gone to school And my best friend has a baby girl That will be here soon And there’s nothing like a night with my girls Some cold beer and junk food… To get rid of any blues… Yeah, if you could stand where I’m standing And see the view from here You’d see so much love, life and laughter Bright and crystal clear Yeah the best view in all the world… Is the view from here… I wish you could stand where I'm standing... Wish you could see the view from here...

Dammit where's my Kleenex? That was really good Jessica. I got a little choked up on that one.
